Daria Andreevna Zueva (born March 7, 1990 in Smolensk) is a Russian-Dutch actress, singer, and tutor.
Life and beginning of career[edit]
Daria Zueva was born and raised in Smolensk, Russia. Her mother is an economist and her father was a builder. After her parents divorced when she was four, she lived with her mother and was also raised by her grandmother[2][3]. In her early years, she studied foreign languages and music, including choir singing and piano, and competed in ballroom and Latin dances. At 17, she moved to Moscow and studied drama acting at the Institute of Modern Arts from 2007 to 2011[4].
Theatre and musicals[edit]
From 2011 to 2019, Zueva worked primarily in theatre and musicals in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Notable roles include Vasilisa Premudraya in the musical Lukomorye[5], Lisa in Mamma Mia![6], and Olga Larina in Onegin's Demon[7]. In 2019, she joined the musical Stilyagi at the Theatre of Nations[8].
Music[edit]
From 2014 to 2018, Zueva developed as a singer and producer of the acoustic band “Daria’n Trio” in Moscow. She performed at various venues and festivals, including the International Festival of the Song of Anna German[9]. In 2019, she participated in the Dutch TV show "All Together Now" and began collaborating with Dutch Jazz bands[10]. In 2020, she started working with the Dutch recording studio “Flexrecords” and began songwriting[11].
Coaching, tutoring[edit]
Since 2014, Zueva has been coaching and tutoring, helping applicants prepare for theater university admissions and teaching vocal lessons. She owns the company “Let the sunshine in” and arranges workshops and music lounges[12].
