Lithuanian-American political scientist, actor[6] and former vice rector of European Humanities University, a Belarusian university-in-exile.[7][8] Stirred up controversy in 2017 for allegedly insulting hundreds of thousands of Lithuanians in an online discussion about partisan warfare.[9]

In the summer of 2016, elected head of Go Vilnius[10][11], the development agency of Vilnius. Vilnius mayor Remigijus Šimašius publicly fired Darius Udrys in 2017, claiming poor performance.[2] The dismissal came in the wake of controversy surrounding Facebook posts in which he raised questions about the morality of killing civilians as part of partisan warfare.[12] Udrys responded with a wrongful dismissal lawsuit, requesting moral damages due to the firing.[13]
