Dark Harvest is an upcoming American horror film directed by David Slade, based on the novel of the same name.

Plot[edit]

A Midwestern town sends teenagers after October Boy, aka Ol’ Hacksaw Face, aka Sawtooth Jack every Halloween to win the “October Prize.”

Development[edit]

On September 10, 2019, it was reported that New Regency hired David Slade to direct the adaptation of Dark Harvest with Michael Gillio writing the script and Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl producing.[1] On February 23, 2020, it was reported that MGM acquired the film after New Regency put it on turnaround, and Gillio will also executive produce the film.[2]

Release[edit]

On April 7, 2020, MGM set the film to be released on September 24, 2021.[3]
