David Capurso is an American film and music video director and screenwriter. He attended Hunter College and first received notice for the short film "Emily's Song" of which CineBlast called..." a touching and surreal look a young woman’s difficulty to deal with the outside world by turning into an aggressive old woman when she leaves her apartment,".....[1] He is perhaps best known for the short film "Against the Wall" which was inspired by the breakout style of video game play.[2] He also directed the 2005 film "Food for the Sun".

Capurso has directed music videos for among other artists; "the Queen of Spanish Rap". Lisa M.[3] for her song "La Suprema"[4][5]

His film "I am Julia" (2012) won a "Golden Palm award" for short films at the 2012 Mexico International Film Festival and was also screened at the Queens World Film Festival in 2012.[6][7]

Capurso also directed a documentary for the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming abput the legendary figure's then 106 year old niece, Alice Frederici Reneau ( 1901 - 2006),.[8][9][10][1]
