Day Shift is an upcoming action film directed by J.J. Perry, in his directorial debut, with a screenplay by Tyler Tice and Shay Hatten, based on the story by Tice.[3] The film stars Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and Meagan Good. The film is scheduled to be released on August 12, 2022 by Netflix.[4]

A blue-collar dad provides for his family as a San Fernando Valley pool cleaner, which is secretly a front for a union of vampire hunters.

On October 20, 2020, Netflix announced the development of the vampire hunting film Day Shift with second-unit director J.J. Perry set to make his directorial debut from a script by Tyler Tice, with Shay Hatten providing a rewrite, and Chad Stahelski, Jason Spitz, Jamie Foxx, Shaun Redick Yvette Yates Redick, Datari Turner, and Peter Baxter attached to produce.[5] On October 20, 2020, Foxx was set to star the film.[5] In April 2021, it was announced that Dave Franco, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Oliver Masucci, Steve Howey, C.S. Lee Meagan Good, Karla Souza, Scott Adkins, Eric Lange, Zion Broadnax, and Snoop Dogg were casted in the film.[6][7]

Principal photography was scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, California, between April 19 and August 22, 2021.[2]
