Roque David Ayala Prieto (born August 17, 1999), better known by his stage name Dayalex Ayala, is a Paraguayan electronic musician, record producer, remixer, actor and DJ[1]. He got recognition after having released his single "Always And Forever" and for having participated in a nationally successful short film "Ahora o Nunca"[2]

Early life[edit]

Roque David Ayala Prieto was born on August 17, 1999 in Santa Rosa Misiones, Paraguay. When he was 7 years old, he began to sing in the public places of his city, realizing that music was his passion. At the age of 14, Ayala became interested in electronic music through a video he saw on YouTube by Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix. What led him to investigate about producing music, downloading the specialized software, FL Studio, which allowed him to start producing his own songs. He started producing Big room house inspired by the songs of Martin Garrix. Then he moved to Future house, and finally to EDM. Then he began to experience other genres such as: Tropical house, Future bass, Progressive house, etc.

Music career[edit]

At just 14 years old, Ayala was already starting to produce her own songs and publish them on YouTube[3] and SoundCloud.[4] In 2017 he began to publish his songs in different musical platforms such as: ITunes,[5] Spotify, YouTube Music,[6] Pandora (music)[7] etc. In 2018, at the age of 18 he released his first and famous remix of the famous song "Never Be the Same" by the singer Camila Cabello, which obtained a very good acceptance and was positioned in the best radio stations in the country.[8] In 2019, he released several singles including the song "Always And Forever"[9][10] that quickly became a hit over the months on the Spotify music platform with over 30k of views and in more than 100 playlists added among them, one of the most popular Spotify playlists "mint Latin".[11] Finally in mid-2019, Ayala released his first EP titled "Electric Blue (EP)", with which he worked hard the last 2 years during the beginning of his career as a musical artist.

Filmmaker career[edit]

In 2019, the opportunity would come to Ayala to participate in the project of a short film called "Ahora o Nunca", in the company of fellow filmmaker Luis "Charro" Arrua[12]and the writer of the history of the short film, Ruth Almada[13]. Ayala participated as co-director, editor of the short film and as composer of the official soundtrack of the short film. He is currently working on the official video clip of the song also called "Ahora o Nunca"[14][15]
