De Soto Pharmacy was a pharmacy and soda fountain in Canoga Park, Los Angeles.
De Soto Pharmacy opened in 1959.[1] Inside was Jerry's Soda Shoppe, a 1950s-style soda fountain, named after Jerry Meyers, who bought De Soto Pharmacy with his family in 1985.[2][3] Meyers's son David, co-owner, and a friend, built the soda fountain after the 1994 Northridge earthquake,[2] completing it in 1996.[3] Due to rising rents and insurance costs for the pharmacy, the business shuttered on August 21, 2018.[2] Subsequently, Valley Relics Museum acquired its historic neon sign.[4]
