Deceived is an upcoming stealth action video game[1] developed by JOY Interactive for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows. It can also be played using PlayStation VR for PlayStation 4.[2] The game will tell the story of Aleksey Naumov, who works as a detective assistant and helps to disclose crimes to his mentor, Ryan Oldfield, to uncover murders, assassinations, robberies and other crimes. Writers of the game are Elian Nizamov and Igor Metelin. It is scheduled to be released worldwide in 2018.[3]

Deceived is an detective stealth action game set in an open world environment and played from a first-person perspective.[4]
Development[edit]
Deceived is in development by JOY Interactive, a Russian video game developing studio using Unreal Engine for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows.
September 6, 2016 it became known that the studio is developing a new game. The developers didn't disclose details. Later it became known that the teaser of the game will be released in late September. In social networks developers began to show screenshots of 3D models without textures.[5][6] The community reacted oddly to this, because the teaser had to come out literally the other day, and the models hadn't been fully completed.
A little later it became known that the teaser is delayed and the teaser of the game will be released in the early days of October. Not at the end of September, as they said before.
The developers conducted a vote in which they wanted to learn from their subscribers: do they want a contest, where the prize will be the key for the game activation on the Steam.[7]
In early October, the studio announced that the teaser is still very damp and they don't have time to complete it in time. The studio didn't name new dates.[8]
On October 16, without any announces, the studio released a teaser of the game named Deceived.[9] People were divided into two groups: those who liked the teaser of the game[10] and those who say that this is another deception from Russian developers.[11] The developers themselves don't comment on this.
The developers were accused of using brands of well-known companies such as Dell and BMW in the game, because they don't know the copyright law.[12] JOY Interactive deny this, explaining that in the release version there will be no real brands or companies, the game and the studio will not violate any laws of any country.
