Deepthi Nambiar is an Indian film actress, who mainly works in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries. She is best known for her small romantic role as "Pooja" in the 2011 Tamil film Engaeyum Eppothum.[1] Pattalam first introduced her to the Tamil audience as an actress.[2]

Early life[edit]

Deepthi Nambiar was born and brought up at Pune, Maharashtra, India.[3] Deepthi Nambiar studied at St. Anne's High School, Pune. Later on she graduated from S.N.D.T college with bachelor's degree in Commerce. She has an younger brother named Aditya Nambiar. Currently she is pursuing her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Pune.[4]

Career[edit]

She started as an anchor in a Malayalam TV channel and later made her entry into films.[4] She is the heroine of Ungal Viruppam and is also shooting for two Tamil films A. R. Murugadoss Thuppakki and Vincent Selva’s film, Thulli Vilayadu.[5][6] She acted in the Tamil Movie Yugam[7] and in Vellai Kaagidham.[8] In Yugam she and hero Rahul Madhav play newly married couple who moves into an apartment and misunderstandings arise between the couple.[9] Ungal Viruppam tells the story of Balu and Rita two IT professionals.[10]

She is currently playing the heroine in director Pradeep Nair’s Cherukkanum Pennum malayalam movie the film shooting is currently going on in Kochi.[11][12]
