Denis Kopotun (born June 5, 1996[1]), better known online as simply Denis or DenisDaily, is a Canadian YouTuber who is best known for his gaming videos and commentaries. Kopotun primarlily focuses on making Roblox content, but he also plays other games such as Minecraft.
He is also one of the creators of his own cartoon series Denis and Me, alongside Diana Moore.[2]
Internet career[edit]
In 2016, Denis uploaded his first video,[citation needed] which was family friendly Roblox gameplays.[3] He continued making more Roblox content before a temporary hiatus started in 2020 on Roblox content to focus more on Minecraft content. He returned to making Roblox videos in 2021.[citation needed]
The Pals[edit]
The Pals was a channel where Denis, Sub, Alex, Corl, and Sketch would make videos together.[4] In 2019, after the Twitter controversy involving Corl, The Pals disbanded the channel.[5]
Denis and Me[edit]
Production of this show started in 2018, with Diana Moore as its show runner. On July 7, 2020, Denis announced the show on his YouTube channel.[6][7] The show also features an original character, Sir Meows A Lot.[8]
Controversy[edit]
Tax evasion claims and arrest rumor[edit]
On June 4, 2023, rumors circulated that Kopotun was arrested due to tax evasion, showing an image of his mugshot. It went viral across social networking websites such as Twitter and Reddit.[9] Kopotun later denied these rumors on YouTube.[10][11][better source needed]
