Dennis Falcone is an American radio personality and disc jockey.

Career[edit]

Falcone began his radio career in 1979 as an intern at a station on Long Island, New York before he began filling in for absent personnel on a part-time basis. He then engineered religious-based shows on Sundays before he moved to nights.[1] He worked at four stations on Long Island before he landed a role as program director with Joe McCoy at WCBS in New York City. This led to a six-year stint as a program director at WBZO on Long Island, before a change of management led to his departure.[1]

After his departure from WBZO, Falcone began a program director's job in New York City at Sirius Satellite Radio, a subscription-based satellite radio service, for its "Oldies" channel. He left after a team of radio consultants took over, causing the unexpected departure of seven program directors, including Falcone, on July 24, 2003.[1][2] He then did some part-time work at a country music station in Westchester, New York and WALK on Long Island. A job for Clear Channel at Premiere Radio Networks ended in 2009, which saw Falcone return to working for Sirius, now known as SiriusXM Satellite Radio.[1]

Falcone has since worked a variety of jobs at SiriusXM including program director.[1] He also became known for hosting shows on the 1960s and 1970s music channels, and for his appearances on the Opie and Anthony show, and later with Jim Norton and Sam Roberts.
