DesignUp is a volunteer and community-led Conference and meetups, focused on Design-in-Tech, founded by Jay Dutta in 2016 in Bangalore, India.[1][2] DesignUp has no paid employees and DesignUp events are funded by sales of tickets and sponsorships.

Pre-Conference Events:
Based on feedback from the first Conference, This year there are 4 pre-events.
Main Event:
The main conference will happen in Bangalore with the number of design and industry experts including Daniel Burka. this year, DesignUp extends to become a 3-day event – the first day is dedicated to Masterclasses with industry experts from around the globe. The 4 to 7-hour Masterclasses are for a small group of people.
2017[edit]
Pre-Conference Events:
Based on feedback from the first Conference, a series of smaller pre-events with fewer speakers were held in 2017 at Bangalore and in Pune.
Main Event:
The main conference was held at ITC Gardenia and had 568 attendees.[3]The format was two days, with half day workshops on both days. The event had 46 speakers, workshop leaders and panelists, including:
Khoi Vinh, former Design Director for NYTimes.
2016[edit]
The first event in 2016 was primarily supported by SAIF Partners and The Design School of Maeer's Institute of Technology in Pune, India.[4] It was attended by 230 people from Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad besides San Francisco. The first event was 2 days - one day for talks and one day for Workshops.
