Dimitris Eleas, born Athens/Greece in 1973, is a Greek writer based in London. He moved to London/England in 1995 to study Political Sciences.

Biography

Dimitris Eleas is also an independent researcher and political activist. His writing practice is, Live and (then) Write. The first hand experience is the most important to him. He worked also for many years in the private sector in positions of responsibility – manager, general manager. He also had, for a number of years, his own business in Covent Garden.

As an activist, he supported Occupy Wall Street and he was a founding member in 2013 of the Greek political party Agreement for the New Greece (Greek: Συμφωνία για τη Νέα Ελλάδα), and later its coordinator and spokesperson on Human Rights. Over the years he followed lectures by world stage figures such as Tariq Ali, Jurgen Habermas, Noam Chomsky, Cornelius Castoriadis, Nelson Mandela and others. He has also contributed opinion articles in prestigious newspapers such as The Guardian, Toronto Star and To Vima and magazines.
