Dinu Popescu (born Dinu Andrei Popescu, october 5 1992) is a romanian Tv Host, writer, psychologist and vlogger. He was born in Bucharest.[1] He produced and presented more Tv Shows, including Presa în 60 de minute (60 minutes news magazine) [2] and Rezumatul Săptămânii cu Dinu Popescu (Weekly Summary with Dinu Popescu). [3] He worked as a tv reporter for Antena 1 [4] and for Antena 3 news channel.[5] In 2020 he launched Controvers Tv Youtube channel. [6]
Studies[edit]
In 2016 he graduated Psychology at Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest. He has a master's degree in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT, graduated in 2018. In addition, he graduated with a master's degree in Audio-Video Communications from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies - SNSPA.
Carrer[edit]
After graduating high school at the "St. Joseph's Roman Catholic College" in Bucharest, he was involved in a conflict with some of the teachers, covered by OTV during several shows. [7] Subsequently, Dinu Popescu became a permanent guest on the show "Dan Diaconescu Direct" and reporter for OTV. After the television shut down, he began airing on 6TV. In 2014, at the age of 21, he was the youngest TV presenter in Romania. For a short time he presented the news journals at TV CITY, then, in 2018 he was hired as a reporter for the EVENTS department at Antena 3 news channel, where he also made materials for Antena 1 Observer. He resigned after an incident. Before a LIVE broadcast from the inauguration of the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation [8] [9] he was aggressively pushed by the priest Ciprian Grădinaru [10] and the tv station management refused to broadcast the images wich showed the incident. [11] Later, in 2020, he presented the HOT SPOT show on KAPITAL TV and launched the YOUTUBE channel Controvers Tv, where he exposed several irregularities encountered during his years working in television environment. [12] He is a contributor to the romanian news site EVZ.ro [13] [14] [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] and Capital magazine [20] where he writes for the Opinions column. [21] [20] In the literary sphere, he wrote poems from childhood. [22] His first book, "Thoughts from the Parallel Universe", was published in 2018 by "Stef Publishing House". [23] In 2021 he published the novel PLAYBOY: the story of a forbidden world.
Controversy[edit]
His posts on Facebook have sometimes touched controversial topics .[24] [25] Before the Romanian Presidential Elections from 2019, some news sites took over several of his posts in wich he was expressing his support for Viorica Dăncilă candidate, who was an unpopular political figure above young people in Romania. [26] He repeatedly aroused indignation among Christians, openly criticizing Orthodox Church [27] and the practices of some priests. [28] About his religious views he declared himself as a militant atheist and later a pantheist. [29]
