Marlene Yvonne Abigosis (born November 23, 1957)[1] is a missing woman who was last seen on January 1, 1984.[2][3]
Disappearance[edit]
In 1983 when it was close to Christmas time, Abigosis called her sister during the middle of the night. While talking to her sister she was crying, and said that she would soon be travelling to Calgary, Alberta.[4][5][6] While on her way to Calgary, Abigosis was supposed to stop at her sister’s home in Revelstoke, British Columbia. When Abigosis had not arrived, her family became worried and tried many times to report her as missing but were unsuccessful. Abigosis was last seen in the downtown east side of Vancouver, British Columbia. Abigosis had lived a high risk lifestyle, as she had work near the docks, where clients who owned boats would sometimes take her with them on trips to places such as the state of Washington and Vancouver Island.
Investigation and aftermath[edit]
Her sister has written about a letter about Abigosis that has been made public.[7] Even though it was on January 1, 1984 that Abigosis was last seen, she wasn't reported missing until May 22, 2012.[8]
