Djanan Turan (Turkish: Canan Turan) is a Turkish-Georgian-Kurdish singer-songwriter and musician living in London, UK. She plays guitar, piano, zurna and stylistically plays mainly jazz and folk music.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]
Early life[edit]
Turan was born in Adana, Turkey and as a teenager regularly performed at blues-jazz bars in the local village of Kizkalesi.[1] She first moved to Istanbul where she worked with Timur Selcuk, and then later to London, UK, where she has lived since 2001.
