Domingo Pilarte (UFC Fighter)
Domingo (Dom) Damian Pilarte III is an American Mixed Martial Artist currently signed to the UFC. He was born on January 5th, 1990 in Washington, D.C. and currently resides in Houston, TX. He has been a Professional Fighter since 2009.
The Fighter, also known as "The Son of Fire", began studying Boxing at the age of 12 and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) at the age of 15. Pilarte says, [the origin of his nickname came from] “An author and widely recognized prophet, Luke Holter, called me this while praying for me.”[1] The Athlete continued his career in the fighting world, while studying under World Champion Jeff Messina, and earned several Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) titles; he is a brown-belt in the International sport, and engages in daily, intensive training including wrestling, striking and BJJ.
Domingo Pilarte made his UFC fighting debut in Dana White's Contender Series on July 17th, 2018 against Vince Morales—Pilarte's victory can be seen HERE; Pilarte won by submission in the 2nd round of the fight. He was 1 of 3 competitors awarded a UFC contract by White.[1]
