In early January President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump were presented unsubstantiated information that U.S. intelligence officials obtained from third parties. [1] The document is alleged to have been made by a former British intelligence officer. The FBI and other members of the United States Intelligence Community are actively investigating their veracity.[2][3] Trump called the information "fake news."[4] The chiefs of America’s intelligence agencies last week presented President Obama and President-elect Donald J. Trump with a summary of unsubstantiated reports that Russia had collected information about Mr. Trump, two officials with knowledge of the briefing said
