Donatebooks.org.[1] is an online not for profit book exchange website run by Earthians Environment Awareness Services Organization[2], a not for profit NGO based in India[3]
It is a platform which connects paper book readers who reside in a community or within a city limit and offers people who are done with reading their paper books to post a donation Ad on the website which, when seen by other people in the community, could allow them to seek the book donator to donate the book to the book requestor.
History
The website was started by the NGO Earthians Environment Awareness Services Organization[4] in 2012 and has helped in donation of many paper books to the people in need of used books.
Features
The website helps in connecting book donators and book seekers (requestors) for donating or exchanging their paper books which could be academic books, story books, novels, dictionaries, religious books or books of any other subjects.
The book donator has to register on the website and then create an Ad for book donation mentioning book details. Once the Ad is published on the website, any users visiting the website can look into the Ad and can contact the book donator to get that book for personal reading.
Likewise, a book requestor who wishes to get free books can register on the website and can create a book wanted Ad which, when seen by any other users visiting the website with donation in mind, could ask the book requestor to collect the book from the donator.
