Donna McFadden-Connors
Donna McFadden-Connors was the first female mayor of Pittston, Pennsylvania.
Entering office[edit]
Incumbent mayor Joseph P. Keating lost the Democratic primary on May 19, 2009, and submitted a letter to the city council announcing his resignation a day later (on May 20). The council voted to appoint Councilwoman Donna McFadden-Connors as acting mayor. Michael Lombardo, who won the Democratic nomination for a city council seat, replaced Connors on council.
The event made regional news.[1]
