Dorit Reuveni (born September 30, 1952) is an Israeli singer, one of the prominent soloists of the Central Command band in the early 1970s. As a child, she lived in Argentina, and as a result, she sang several songs in a South American style. In her latest album, she sang songs in Ladino. She also participated in the production of several CDs of children's songs.

Biography

Reuveni was born in Kibbutz Shaar Ha'amakim to Avraham (Albert), born in Skopje, and Esther (Estika) born in Belgrade, who immigrated to Israel from Yugoslavia and spoke Ladino as their mother tongue. At the age of nine, she traveled with her family on a three-year mission on behalf of the Jewish Agency in Argentina[1][2], where she was exposed to and influenced by South American music<ref>. Upon her return to Israel, she continued her music career. She appeared on the show "First Applause" and was discovered by Moni Amarillo.
