Doteveryone is a UK think-tank concerned with issues in the tech ethics movement.[1]

History[edit]

The think-tank was founded in 2015 by Martha Lane Fox.[2] Fox had announced in her Dimbleby Lecture the same year that the government should create something called 'Dot Everyone' "to take the chance to shape the digital world as it shapes us".[1][3]

Based in Somerset House, London, Doteveryone has a team of 13 staff.[1]

Doteveryone is a registered charity, and relies on a network of supporters and collaborators to fund its work.

Reports[edit]

  • In 2020 Doteveryone issued Better work in the gig economy, a report on the social effects of technology in the gig economy.[4][5][6]
  • In 2019 the charity issued People, Power and Technology:The Tech Workers’ View, a report exploring ethical dilemmas sometimes faced by tech workers.[7][8]
