The European Centre for Information Policy and Security (ECIPS) is an international organization, directed by the Executive Committee of ECIPS.[1] ECIPS focuses on policy and security issues within the Europe Union and affected international areas that poses security risks to the EU . The organization deals with accountability issues such as cross-border data transfers, conflicting national legal requirements and government use of private sector data, mediation and dialogue, cross-border investigations, and accountability.

Research Programs and Structure[edit]

The European Centre for Information Policy and Security identifies and monitors Policy and Security issues and threats facing governments, corporations, and communities, globally.[1]

Organizational Structure[edit]

  • The European Centre for Information Policy and Security is an EU registered organization with the EU Transparency Registration Number of 547367810897-07[2] and is based in the United Kingdom.
  • The president of ECIPS is elected by the ECIPS General Assembly/Executive Committee for a 5 year term. The current president is Mr. Ricardo (Bn) Baretzky.[3]
  • ECIPS Board of Directors oversees ECIPS activities, and ECIPS Advisory Council provides policy and security advice associated with ECIPS activities such as research and publications.[1]
