Down to Earth Organic & Natural is an American health food store in Hawaii that sells local and imported, natural and organic food and promotes a vegetarian lifestyle. There are five locations in Oahu and one store in Maui.[2]
Down to Earth has won the Star-Advertiser’s People's Choice Award for Best Health Food Store every year since 2007. They support local farmers and businesses, sustainable living and fresh produce and products.[3]
On August 10, 2019, Down to Earth's Kailua store is moving two blocks into a much bigger location. The current store is 6,000 square feet and the new store will be 15,000 square feet.[4]
Occasionally, Down to Earth offers cooking classes, health and nutritional seminars and other events to the community that promote better health.[5]
Down to Earth sells vegetarian versions of traditional Hawaiian dishes like watermelon poke.[6] They also offer low-carbohydrate alternatives.[7]
USA Today’s 10best.com reviewer Jade Eckardt gave Down to Earth a positive review for its natural and organic beauty supplies, toiletries and snacks.[8]
