Dozy Mmobuosi is the Founder and Group CEO of Tingo International Holdings Inc., a Delaware, USA incorporated holding company that owns operating businesses in Africa, Europe, and the United States of America (Tingo Mobile PLC., Tingo Mobile USA, Tingo Mobile UK, and Tingo Remit Limited).[1][2]. He is a Nigerian Technology Entrepreneur, known for establishing Nigeria's first Mobile Phone Manufacturing line.

He has his bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's degree in Economics from Ambrose Ali University. Ekpoma, Nigeria. He holds a doctorate in Rural Advancement from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. He is a certified Islamic banker.

Mmobuosi is a graduate of Political Science from Ambrose Ali University. He also has a master's degree in Economics from the same university. He holds a doctorate in Rural Advancement from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia.

Career[edit]

His earlier career includes serving as a Chief Investment Officer at Halal Capital, Nigeria. He was at a time the Deputy Managing Director of Khan Dockette. He founded Tingo Mobile in 2001, a company that has gone to improve the Nigerian agricultural ecosystem[3]. He is a published author and he has written two end time fiction books: Rapture Eve (in 2010) and Lucifer Gate (in 2019).

He also founded Africa's first mobile device manufacturing company in Nigeria[4]. He sourced 80% of the components used in the phone manufacturing locally[5]

His company Tingo became a public company with 550 shareholders in 2016 and earlier in the year, the company appointed the immediate past president of Nigeria[6], Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, as the chairperson of its advisory board. In 2016, he revealed plans to list Tingo Mobile on three stock exchanges[7]. In 2017, he oversaw the acquisition of a major stake in Mass Telecom Innovation Nigeria Plc[8], to develop rural broadband in Nigeria.
