Dr. Anil Kumar

Anil Kumar (born June 18, 1975) is an Indian biologist and IP expert and currently working as scientist in the National Institute of Immunology[1]. He is known for being inventor in more than 50 patents (granted) in the area of biological sciences[2]. Kumar is a young, prolific inventor with a research background for developing biotech-based technologies for industrial and societal benefits. One of his US patents had been selected for CSIR Technology Award 2012[3] and while other US patent won Merck Millipore India Innovation Award in 2012[4][5].

Kumar received his B.Sc. degree in Life Science in 1998 from Chinmaya Degree College, Haridwar, India and completed M.Sc. (Biotechnology) from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India. He obtained Ph.D degree from Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi, India.
