Early life and education[edit]
Dr K Sasikumar was born on March 25, 1982, in Neyveli Township, Cuddalore District. He completed his early education at Baba Matriculation School for LKG, UKG, and first standard, followed by Kennedy Primary School in Chidambaram for second and third standard. He then attended St. Paul's Matriculation School in Neyveli Township from fourth to twelfth grade. Dr Sasikumar pursued a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from Annamalai University in Chidambaram. He further gained expertise in Community Medicine Service in New Delhi.
Career[edit]
Throughout his career, Dr K Sasikumar has been actively involved in providing physiotherapy services and contributing to community welfare. He has served at notable institutions such as the Leprosy Mission in Naini, Allahabad, and Vazhndhukattom Tittam in Kattumannarkoil Block, Nallur Block, and Mangalore Block. Additionally, he has been associated with the Pudhu Vaazhvu Project and has dedicated 20 years to clinical practice in Neyveli and Vridhachallem.
Dr Sasikumar has been instrumental in social services for disabled individuals, including providing artificial limbs and walking aids. He has actively participated in tree plantation initiatives and has been involved in women's welfare programs. In athletics, he achieved third place in the 1500 meters race in 1999, 2000, and 2001, and secured second place in high jump in 2000 and 2001.
His notable awards include the Best Social Services Award by the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation in Vridhachallem in 2020, the Best Doctor Award for the year 2021-2022 by the Cuddalore District Collector, the Best Social Worker Award by the Udra Trust in Madurai in 2023, and the Best Social Worker Doctor Award conferred by the Chief Minister of Puducherry in 2023.
Current position[edit]
Dr K Sasikumar currently serves as the General Secretary of the Tamilnadu Physiotherapy Doctors Welfare Association (TNPDWA). In this role, he is actively involved in the welfare and advocacy of physiotherapy doctors in Tamilnadu. He is also a physiotherapist at Kammampuram Block in Cuddalore District. Furthermore, he serves as the organizer of the Doctor's Wing in the Aram Aram Kattalai Trust in Cuddalore.

Apart from his professional accomplishments, Dr K Sasikumar possesses various talents and interests. He is a marathon enthusiast and enjoys dancing, singing, writing poetry, and delivering speeches.
