The Dreieck Dernbach (German: Autobahndreieck Hochfranken) is a half-stack interchange located in the German state of Bavaria.
The motorway interchange forms the connection between the A48 coming from Dreieck Vulkaneifel in the Eifel to the A3 Dutch border near Elten-Austrian border south of Passau. [1]
Geography
The interchange is situated in the municipal area of Dernbach, after which it is named, and east of the village Ransbach-Baumbach in the region Westerwald.
Nearby cities are Limburg an der Lahn to the southeast and Koblenz in the Southwest.
Trivia
Next to the A3 lays the high-speed train, ICE-line Köln-Frankfurt. The railway line crosses the interchange via a railway tunnel. The interchange lays in between the cities Köln and Frankfurt am Main.
