Derrick Talemwa (born 31st October 1997) is a Ugandan singer, song writer, and performer[1][2][3].
Early Life & Education Background[edit]
Dreventy attended Queen Ann Nursery Primary School, Buyala Junior School and Hope International School Of Watoto[4][5].
Career[edit]
He started his musical career in 2016 by performing in his high school[6]. While in his vacation, Dreventy made music covers for songs like the Black Panther soundtrack “Pray For Me” by The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar, and Sam Smith’s ‘Too Good At Goodbyes”, and his remake of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect” earned him recognition as one of Soundcity’s 11 Underground Talented Rising Stars To Hear[7][8]. Dreventy also emerged second place at the Penda singing competition auditions back then in 2019[9][10].
In 2019, he released his first song known as I Won’t Forget, followed by ‘Promises’ in 2020, and ‘5 Ways’ among others[11][12].
He mentions Doja Cat, Chris Brown and Trey Songz as his role models[13].
