Katureebe Asiman Troy, better known by his stage name Runbouy (and formerly Troymusik), is a Ugandan musician and songwriter. He was born in Uganda on 10 September 1995.
Early life
The second born of eight siblings attended Rugarama Church School for his nursery school, Rwemitaagu Primary School for his primary education, Ryeru Boys and Mpoma Boys, East High secondary school. And later joined IUEA for his Diploma in Poetry.
Performing career
Runbouy started music as any normal music lover, he developed his talent further at campus, he first went to a studio in 2016 for his first studio session and he only managed to get an instrumental. Runbouy later returned to the studio after a couple of days, after his friends encouraged him that he could sing more professionally. In 2017, he went to one of the known studios in Makindye Keiton Records where he teamed up with Artin Producer to make his first studio recording. Though since 2012 Runbouy has tried to compose some great songs which later became hits in the Ugandan entertainment industry after being performed by outstanding artists. Runbouy is currently signed to and managed by Urban Town Music.
Runbouy has worked with a number of producers in the Rnb, Zouk, Afro pop and Dancehall genre including IB, KENESTOUCH, DON MARSHALL, ARTIN (DustVille), SAMI TOUCH, MAJOR LAZOR, CENTURY VYBZ and several others. Runbouy states he gets inspiration from music including dancehall, reggae, Rnb, EDM and afro pop from artists like ED SHEERAN, A PASS, ENRIQUE IGLESIAS, LOREN ALLRED among others.
Even though Runbouy is still a rising star, he has collaborated with various musicians including Kera Kisha (musician), Shawn Darling from Uganda and Kizz Daniel, Robi Taste, Kranium among others.
