Early Life
Dante Levell Scott was born on July 13, 1995, in Detroit, Michigan, to Darrell Scott and Kathy McLaughlin. Droxity was exposed to various musical genres from a young age, which later influenced his own music. His father, a musician himself, bought Droxity his first guitar when he was 10. [1] His father then taught him the basics of the instrument over the years. It wasn't until his sophomore year of high school, in 2010, that he met another guitarist, and they began practicing together.
Career
Early Career (2013-2014)
Droxity began college at Michigan State University in the fall of 2013. There, he met other musicians and formed bands to perform at various campus events. His first band, "Steep Impact," played at several venues and was interviewed by the State News. [2] After the band disbanded, Droxity sought out other musicians to collaborate with. After several attempts with different musicians, he ultimately decided to pursue a solo career.
Solo Career (2015-Present)
In March 2015, Droxity began a solo project titled "Broken Stories," which consisted of two versions, "Broken Stories Pt. 1" and "Broken Stories Pt. 2." These versions were never released. Droxity then wrote and produced his debut album, "New Lives," released on September 9, 2015. [3] A year later, he released his second album, "Second Chances," on September 6, 2016.[4] His most recent work, "Existence," was released on August 8, 2017. [5]
