Dudley Clements (March 31, 1889 – November 4, 1947) was an American film and stage actor.

Early life[edit]

Clements was born in New York City, New York.

Career[edit]

Clements started his career in 1919, appearing in the Broadway play A Regular Feller. He subsequently appeared in plays like Shavings, The Haunted House, Wooden Kimono, A Night in Venice, Strike Up the Band, Hobo, Here Goes the Bride, Of Thee I Sing, Let 'Em Eat Cake, Caviar, Saluta, The Great Waltz, Stick-In-The-Mud, The Postman Always Rings Twice, In the Bag, Off to Buffalo, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Sunny River and Song of Norway among others.[1]

He also appeared in films and shorts during the 1920s and 1930s, appearing in Yes or No, System, Yours Sincerely, The Man Who Found Himself, Too Many Wives, The Outcasts of Poker flat, You Can't Buy Luck, New Faces of 1937, The Big Shot, True Confession and Test Pilot among others.[2]

Death[edit]

Clements died in New York of a heart attack on November 4, 1947.[3] He was buried at Kensico Cemetery.[4]
