Duke Red
Duke Red (known in some manga as Professor Plus, Redonof, Cyrano de Bergerac, and other versions (レッド公 (Reddo ōyake))) is a recurring major character in Osamu Tezuka's manga series, and he is an important part of Osamu Tezuka's Star System. Like other Tezuka characters, he is seen repeatedly in different works, but his characterization differs from story to story, mostly appearing as a bureaucrat, military officer, politician, and usually as an antagonist or villain.
Appearance and Role
Duke Red has a very distinctly drawn face compared to many of Tezuka's characters, including a large arched nose and sweeping fluffy hair, large intense eyes, and may or may not feature some facial hair. He first appeared in Tezuka's Metropolis manga and subsequently held major and minor roles throughout Tezuka's varied works.
