Dwarves Deep is an accessory for the fictional Forgotten Realms campaign setting using the second edition rules of the fantasy role-playing game Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.

The 64-page booklet details the various types of dwarves found in the Forgotten Realms. The book itself is printed on parchment-colored paper,[1] and is wrapped in a three-panel removable gatefold cover. The contents include
- An introduction to the content.
- An overview of dwarven culture, including languages, superstitions, customs (including courting, marriage and children), festivals, major professions, and characteristics. The dwarves' close connection to stone and metal is also explained.
- Details of major religions, priests and deities, as well as new spells and magic items
- A geographical overview of the four major dwarven cities, and the cultural differences between each.
- The current situation concerning dwarves in the campaign world[2]
This book also includes an 8-panel fold-out color poster map of the subterranean Deep Realm showing the areas and levels ruled by the dwarves. The inside front cover contains an explanation of dwarven names, while the inside back cover contains a number of tables with sample dwarven names. The inside gatefold cover contains an illustration of a typical dwarven runestone while the outside gatefold cover presents the full Dethek language runic alphabet.
Publication history[edit]
The 64-page saddle-stitched book was written by Ed Greenwood, with cover art by Brom, cartography by David S. "Diesel" Laforce, and interior art by Andy Price.[2] It was published by TSR as product 9300 in 1990.
