EFAF Atlantic Cup

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The EFAF Atlantic Cup is an international competition for European American Football clubs. The EFAF Atlantic Cup is the third highest level of club competition in the European Federation of American Football (EFAF), behind the European Football League (EFL) and the EFAF Cup.

EFAF Atlantic Cup[edit]

Organised by EFAF, this competition is comparable to football's Intertoto Cup. Participants are representatives of the "smaller" American Football nations from western Europe.

EFAF Atlantic Cup 2009[edit]

The Atlantic Cup was introduced by EFAF in 2009, and was held in Brussels the weekend of June 26-28. The tournament took place at Centre Sportif, Rue des Chalets 1, Berchem-Sainte-Agathe.[1] The game field is made of artificial turf (4th generation). The Dublin Rebels were the first Irish team to compete in an EFAF tournament. The Dublin Celts and Craigavon Cowboys competed in the EuroBowl in the late 1980s/early 1990s when it was run by EFAF's predecessor, the EFL.
