EMS Software is a software company that provides a single room scheduling platform. The company was formerly knows as "Dean Evans & Associates, Inc.". EMS Software claims to have more than 2,000 customers, to work with 2,200-plus facilities and to manage millions of meetings and events around the globe each year.[1] The company claims to serve a wide variety of industries.[2]

The software was created by Dean Evans & Associates, a Colorado-based developer of meeting and Event scheduling, Resource management, academic scheduling, shared workspace management (i.e., office hoteling), web-based calendaring, and online registration. Dean Evans, a business consultant and software engineer, founded the company in 1986.[3]


In 2008, Software Magazine included EMS in its “Software 500” list of the world's largest software and technology service providers.[4] The same year, Deliotte ranked EMS as the No. 24 company in its Technology Fast 50 Program for Colorado. INC. 5000 named the company in its list of the 5,000 fastest-growing, private companies in the country in 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2011, The Denver Business Journal named EMS among the top five Denver-area software developers.[5]

In 2010, the company announced that it had became a Gold Level partner of Oracle Corporation.[6]

In 2012, EMS Software was named Customer Service Department of the Year in the Computer Software category by the American Business Stevie Awards.[7] The company was also named to the Inc. (magazine) 500|5000[8] and the Software Magazine software 500 list.

In April, 2014, EMS Software announced an investment from JMI Equity, a growth equity firm.[9] In July, 2015, EMS Software acquired EmergingSoft for its technology integration with Microsoft® Outlook.[10]

In January 2016, Dean Evans & Associates formally changed the company name to EMS Software, LLC.

In June 2016, EMS was acquired by Accruent, LLC.[3]
