Edlustar, birth name Edward Mathake (born 29 May 1992), is a South African Rapper and Record-Producer located In Pretoria, Gauteng. He is known for his hit single "Budget" which hit over thousands streams in a space of months and also for a hit single, "Like a boss" which features rapper Neo.Dievine.[2]

Early life and career[edit]

Edward Mathake originates from Pretoria in the Gauteng Province. He started writing music since his early age. He got his stage name "Edlustar" from his Fullnames Edward.[3] In 2016 Edlustar released "Of My Dreamz" a song that is inspired by the American music group "Majorlazer" and French producer" DjSnake".[4]

He released his debut mixtape titled "FloodingTheStreets" on August 2015 and later on released his second project Me Against The World on 28 October,as an independent artist.

In 2017 he was invited to perform at the KFC Soundbite were he shared stage with artists Riky Rick, Rouge. He released Nemesis on 07 July 2018.[5][6]

Nemesis[edit]

On 7 July 2018, Edlustar released his studio album Nemesis.[7] The album's release was preceded by three singles "Budget", "Like a boss" and "mama". Nemesis consists of 11 tracks album.[8][9] The album is praised for its remarkable production provided by "Edlustar" himself.
