East Washington Academy is a kindergarten through 5th grade public elementary school located in Muncie, Indiana. The school is a division of Muncie Community Schools.
History[edit]
East Washington Academy was founded in 2009 by Muncie Community Schools.[3] Extensive remodeling of the present-day school building was completed before the start of the 2009-2010 school year. The Star Press even conducted polls in order to gain the opinion of the public on what the name of the school should be. The poll found that, out of those who chose one of the names proposed, most preferred the school be named "East Washington Academy." [4]
