Easton Football Club is an English football club based in the village of Easton, near Norwich, Norfolk. Established in 1965, the team currently competes in the Anglian Combination, a regional football league covering Norfolk and North Suffolk.
The club is affiliated to the Norfolk County FA.
History
In the 2005-06 season, Easton F.C joined the Anglian Combination league and were crowned champions in the same year, earning promotion to Division Five. The following season (2006-07), they finished as Division Five runner-up, which led to promotion to Division Four. Over the years, their progress continued: promotion to Division Three in 2008-09, a minor setback with a one-point deduction in 2009-10, and further advancement to Division Two in 2014-15.
Their achievements culminated in the 2017-18 season when they became Anglian Combination Division Two Champions, securing promotion to Division One. Finally, in the 2022-23 season, they clinched the Division One title and moved up to the Premier Division.[2]
In the 2023-2024 Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination Premier Division, Easton F.C. finished in 9th place. [3]
Grounds
Easton F.C. previously played its home matches at the Easton College Sports Ground, which provided its facilities for both players and supporters. The ground is part of the Easton College campus, known for its sports education programs.
As of January 2024, Easton F.C. will now play its home fixtures at Mattishall Playing Field for the foreseeable future.[4]
