EatAds is an online marketplace for Outdoor and Out-of-home advertising. Media Owners in the Out-of-Home and Outdoor space list their inventory on the website. Media buyers browse through the listings and contact the media sellers directly. No transactions are executed on the website.[1]

    History[edit]

EatAds.com started in early 2011 by founder John Fearon. After a few months of operation, John had to cease his day to day involvement in the company to focus on another one of his businesses, Dropmysite.[2] The site remained unsupervised until October 2012, when Dhruv Sahgal and Nigel Hembrow stepped in as co-founders of the business.[3]

    Business model[edit]

EatAds is 100% free. Media owners list their media space and potential buyers contact the sellers directly through contact information displayed on the website. Preferred listings will be charged on an auction basis for sellers looking to promote their listings in prominent positions on the website.[4]

EatAds is currently exploring other revenue verticals.[5]

    Technology[edit]

EatAds is a web based solution written in PHP and is hosted on the Amazon Web Services Cloud Infrastructure.

EatAds uses Amazon.com's S3 storage system to store the listings.
