Ebenezer "Ebstar" Tarubinga, better known as Ebstar is a South Korean based Zimbabwean DJ, record producer, software engineer, influencer, brand ambassador, songwriter & comedian. He is known for his 2021 song, I Have a Crush on You which currently has over 200 000 all time streams. Ebstar is ranked the 290th best DJ on SkioMusic's World Producer's Chart.
Personal Life[edit]
Ebstar was born on 29 November 2001 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe with Zimbabwean & South African Roots. He graduated at Tsinghua University in China and did exchange programs at University of the People in Carlifonia, USA and Wuhan University in China. Ebstar moved to Korea in August, 2022 to pursue a Masters degree in A.I at Korea University. Ebstar also parted ways with his long time Chinese collaborator, Xià during the same time.
Career[edit]
Ebstar made his international debut in 2021 and produces electronic genres such as Deep House, Progressive House, Future Bass, Pop, Big Room & Hip-Hop in his music as well as remixes.[1] He has been highly applauded as having a distinct production style which is marked by melodies. Ebstar has released more than 10 singles and an album, Life is Beautiful in March 2021. Ebstar has also remixed several songs on SKIO Music[2] like Guster's Where Do You Go & Sam I, Busta Rhymes, Vic Mensa & Sia's Don't Give Up.[3] Ebstar gained notable recognition after releasing "I Have a Crush on You"[4] on 26 September 2021. The single has over 250,000 cumulative streams[4][5] He has seen various endorsements from numerous DJs mainly on Spinnin' Records and its sublabels and artists.
