Eclipse Gaming is a gaming and e-Sports organization based in Trnava, Jagodina, Serbia. The team was officially formed on the 24th of March 2017, but it draws roots from a Counter-Strike 1.6 team called "FoRc3 Team" which was formed on the 30th of November 2014.
Many of the original members of FoRc3 Team founded Eclipse Gaming including the founder of FoRc3 Team, Luka "Michto" Tomić. Eclipse Gaming was then co-founded by Michto and his long time friend Lazar "Kovalski" Milošević on the 24th of March 2017. The pair were initially joined by 3 other members of FoRc3 Team, David "NAF3LIX" Stojanović, Veljko "K0stic" Kostić, and Aleksandar "Munch" Petrović.
Early Years (2017-2019)[edit]
In the early years of Eclipse Gaming, the team was not all too competitive and was more content based. With cousin pair of Michto and NAF3LIX running the team's YouTube Channel. The duo uploaded a series of short videos of them playing League of Legends and hitting combos. This did not last for long as NAF3LIX lost his interest in the game and soon after became inactive. That is when Kovalski took the creative process and content of the team under his wing, recording the games with the rest, editing, and posting compilation videos himself. League of Legends dominated the early portion of the teams playtime, with a notable presence of Minecraft, Hearthstone, and Heros of the Storm. The first person to be added to the roster who was not part of the FoRc3 Team squad was Bogdan "k4B0" Veselinović, who joined on the 13th of November 2017. k4B0 being NAF3LIX and K0stic's primary schoolmate, as well as Michto's cousin, was right at home as they had been friends for many years. Mid way through this period, in the year of 2018 on July the 18th Andrija "Panda" Milosavljević was invited to the team by Michto. Panda being one of the groups long time friends and again, one of Michto's cousins.
During this period Eclipse Gaming mostly made League of Legends content which was uploaded to their YouTube Channel in compilation videos. These early years where the most productive in terms of raw content output as only a single video was released during 2019 titled "Just a Yordle in Nexus Blitz" after which no further videos were uploaded to the channel.
Years of Growth (2020-2022)[edit]
In these years the team saw growth in terms members and users on the teams Discord server. The Discord server has surpassed the 100 users mark during this time in the end of 2021. One of the first addition to the team was Igor "qSpex" Aleksić, who at the time was the highest rated player in League of Legends in the team, sitting in Diamond. He was the first player to sing a contract with the team on the 28th of November 2020. qSpex joined after his former team know as ACS disbanded. qSpex and Michto were friends since high school so he was a natural pick for the team. With the addition of qSpex the League of Legends team was now stronger with an higher tier ADC player. Around 3 months later on the 17th of February 2021, Anja "Anya" Gajić joined being the first female to be a full member. During this period Michto drafted up the first logo of the team, which was later updated by Michto and Anya. Anya expanded the LoL roster even further by becoming the second Support main after Michto. She was also highly ranked in Pubg Mobile, reaching the rank of Ace Dominator. Eclipse Gaming enjoyed a deaccent amount of success in League of Legends with most of its member climbing the ranked ladder. Michto hit Gold in 2021, Kovalski hitting Gold 3 years in a row from 2019 to 2021, Panda hitting Platinum in 2020, Munch doing the same in 2019 and 2020 respectively, K0stic being Platinum in 2020, 2021 and 2022, Dimi being Platinum in 2019,2020, and 2021, Anya being Bronze in 2020 and 2021. More content was created in this period than the one prior, but none of it was released to the public with the majority of the videos sitting unlisted on the YouTube channel. At the beginning of 2022, Veljko "Dimi" Dimitrijević joined the team on the 26th of January of that year. Dimi and K0stic went to high school together and was invited by K0stic to the Discord server of Eclipse Gaming. Dimi and the team played a lot and bonded nicely, leading Michto putting it up to vote for Dimi to become a full member of Eclipse Gaming, after the vote ended 6 to 3 in favor Dimi was added to the roster. The team also started playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive mid 2021, with the game becoming the main game of the team during the end of 2021 and 2022. During the transition period from League of Legends to CS:GO Munch became mostly inactive due to him sticking to LoL and the degrading of his health. Michto also tried his hand at streaming on twitch. He streamed for 2 months during June and July of 2022 with minimum success. Michto's Teamfight Tactics and Terraria (with Kovalski) streams averaged around 100 views per month. Eclipse Gaming once more in pursuit for an avenue for its content opened an Instagram account on the 17th of September 2022, where Michto posted short form videos of the best moments from the teams CS:GO adventures.
Year of Reflection (2023-present)[edit]
The year of 2023 was mostly dominated by Counter-Strike as the team mostly focused on that game. With moderate activity on the Instagram account during this year. Also during this year the team logo was updated once more, with slight tweaks to the original logo made by Anya and Michto. This year was unfortunately marked by the passing of Aleksandar "Munch" Petrović who fought a long multiyear struggle with heavy illness. After the tragic passing of Munch the team revisited League of Legends, mostly playing the ARAM mode, with the team always playing Teemo whenever the chance accrues in honor of Munch, as Teemo was his main champion. With the year of 2023 coming to an end, Eclipse Gaming is looking for its next step forward, a step to improve its community and itself as an team. The rest of the year was quiet with not much activity until the end of the year when in December the team released a YouTube video titled "Eclipse Gaming CSGO Mini Montage" which was edited by Ivan "Sudjo" Rajić, who later joined the team on the 7th of March 2024 at the behest of k4B0 under the notion that Sudjo was active for more than a year playing with the team and interacting with the community. Also along this time Sudjo entered the top 10 users on the server who have been the most active reaching the number 10 on the all time message leaderboard of the Discord server. A good position to be at judging that he only joined the Discord server on the 26th of December 2022.
