Coal Industries[edit]
[1]On the southern side of Giridih, in Beniadih, are the coal mines of Central Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (a Maharatna and the world's largest coal miner). It is the largest industry in the Giridih district and major contributor to the economy of the town.
Steel Industry[edit]
Presently, there are more than a dozen Sponge Iron and Rolling Mill Factories in Giridih.[2] The name of few are
- Mongia Steel - Mongia Steel is a steel manufacturing company in Giridih. It is a leading Iron Industry in Jharkhand. This company is known for superior steel quality especially in the field of TMT bars. TMT bars of this company are famous and highly demanded in the eastern region of India.[3]
- Lal Steel - is a leading Manufacturer, Supplier, Trading Company of steel products like ingot & tmt bars , Steel products :- Steel Rod & Tmt Bars., Steel products etc.[4]
Mica[edit]
Mica business also contribute a lot in the trade data, mainly mica are exported to China, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, US the total value of mica exports are US$ 100 million.[5]
