Ecuatoriana Airlines is an Ecuadorian startup airline headquartered in Quito with a planned base at Mariscal Sucre International Airport. It was founded in late 2020 and was preparing to launch operations in early 2022.[1]

Destinations[edit]

Ecuatoriana's CEO has stated that the airline could receive its aircraft operating certificate between September and October 2021, launching flights in October. The carrier's inaugural flights between Quito to Guayaquil would be simultaneous and operated by a fully female crew.

Other intra-Ecuador routes mentioned were flights from Quito and Guayaquil to Manta, Coca, Tulcán, Salinas, Esmeraldas, Lago Agrio, Macas and Loja. Additionally, possibilities of flights, from the Galapagos Islands to mainland Ecuador, were mentioned with Boeing 717-200s. In the future, the carrier plans to offer codeshares with international airlines and international flights.[2]
