Eddie Dennis is an Welsh professional wrestler, and former head teacher from Ammanford, Carmarthenshire. Originally a mathematics teacher, Dennis retired from teaching, and later wrestled full time, most notably for the NXT UK brand for the World Wrestling Entertainment. Dennis is a two time heavyweight champion, winning the Attack! championship, and the King of Chaos championship.
Professional wrestling career[edit]
Early career[edit]
Dennis began his wrestling career in 2008, whilst working full time as a mathematics teacher in Cardiff, and later Berkshire.[2][3] In 2016, Dennis left his job as a head teacher to become a full-time wrestler.[4] Despite an unsuccessful first try-out with the WWE in 2017,[5] he later would wrestle on the first NXT UK show, in the Plymouth Pavilions.[6][7][8]
Dennis would debut for the WWE against Sid Scala.[9]
Dennis is known for having also worked at notable promotions in the UK, including Attack! Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Pride, Revolution Pro Wrestling, and PROGRESS Wrestling.[10][11] Dennis headlined PROGRESS Wrestling 76 against Mark Andrews in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.[12][13]
Defend Indy Wrestling[edit]
Dennis is the co-founder of "Defend Indy Wrestling", a clothing brand for independent wrestling fans. Inspired by the "DEFEND Pop Punk" message propagated by American band Man Overboard, Dennis created the brand in 2011 with fellow British wrestlers Pete Dunne and Mark Andrews, producing t-shirts, hoodies and other accessories.[14][15][16]
