Edrine Kusemererwa (born 6 December 2000), also known as Edrine K, is a Ugandan singer, songwriter, and social advocate signed to Kirindiro Communications.[1][2] She was voted the "Most Inspirational Artist" in the Rwenzori Entertainment Awards.
Background and education[edit]
Kusemererwa was born to Yeresi Kyakimwa and Seith Kazige in Saluti Cell in Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality, Uganda. She is the fifth born out of ten children[1][2]. She attended Parental Care Primary School, St Lawrence School, Jesus Cares Girls' School, and Bwera Secondary School in Kasese[1]. She currently attends Mountains of the Moon University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Fort Portal, Uganda.

Kusemererwa was awarded one million Ugandan shillings by Sarah Opendi when she sang a song that condemned early childhood marriages and teenage pregnancies at a function that was presided over by the Rebecca Kadaga that was meant to raise funds for Jesus cares girls' school dormitory at St.Phillips church of Uganda in Bwera Archdeaconary[3]
Winnie Kiiza promised to exploit her lobbying skills so that she could be able to support Kusemererwa live her dream[4]
Kusemererwa participated in the 25th summit of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD25) that was held in Nairobi, Kenya by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and she became a youth champion[1][2]
Kusemererwa performed on the launch of the "A Rapid Assessment Report on Youth and Peacebuilding in Uganda" by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)- Uganda Country Office in the Central and Rwenzori regions of Uganda conducted by UNFPA in partnership with ACORD.[5]

- Kusemererwa received national and international acclaim for her role in using music to advocate for the rights of women and girls and for education access.
- The "Most Inspirational Artist" in the Rwenzori Entertainment Awards.
- In 2024, Kasese District Local Government Awarded her with a honorary Certificate for her work in advancing education access for girls in Uganda.
