Edson Castro (Cochabamba, Bolivia, July 24, 1994), better known as EdsonFDB, is a Bolivian gameplay and roleplay youtuber. He rose to fame in 2014 after uploading videos to the YouTube platform on his EdsonFDB channel and later also to PapiEdson. He was the first bolivian youtuber to receive the 1 million subscribers button, recognitions awarded for reaching one million subscribers on his two channels.[1][2] He is also the second Bolivian with the most followers on YouTube.[3]

Early years[edit]
Edson Castro was born on July 24, 1994, in Cochabamba, Bolivia.[4] When he was between a child and an adolescent, he developed his love for soccer and decided to take a test without achieving his dream. When he was 20 years old, Edson created a YouTube channel called “Edson FDB.” He started creating videos mainly in the soccer field, both PES and FIFA video game gameplays.[5]
Career[edit]
The channel, which he named "Edson FDB", was created on October 10, 2014, with which he is dedicated to gameplay and roleplay, which means that he comments and acts while broadcasting a video game, usually titles such as PES, FIFA , FIFA Mobile or Dream League Soccer. To make these videos, he takes about 12 hours of work, where he prepares a script and after recording his games, he edits the videos, which he makes. He has collaborated with youtubers like Ramirin, Eddy OZ, Koko DC and CRIS CAS.
By July 2021 he already had more than 2.1 million subscribers, becoming the second Bolivian YouTuber with the most subscribers so far after Favio Apaza-MansOn. Edson studies Sports at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón (UMSS) and has many dreams ahead. Before the triumph of his channel "Edson FDB" he decided to create another called PapiEdson (previously as Edson Castro) dedicated to Garena Free Fire and Fortnite gameplays mainly, it has more than 1 million subscribers.
