Educación XXI is an international scientific journal published by the Education Faculty of the Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia (UNED, Spain). It began its activity in 1998, bound to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Education, which is responsible for its scientific quality..[1]
Since its first issue, Educaciónn XX1 has aimed to disseminate essays, scientific works and innovative educational experiences in all fields and contexts of educational intervention. In this sense, the journal has been a privileged witness of the evolution of education in recent decades. It has also become a recognised dissemination channel for advances in educational research and innovation, both nationally and internationally.
Educación XX1 publishes two issues per year, at the beginning of each semester. Articles are published in English or in Spanish.
Aims and scope[edit]
Over the last few years, Educación XX1 has primarily focused its attention on research into higher education and into the innovative approaches being developed at the university.
However, this does not exclude the publication of other multidisciplinary scientific papers that make a significant contribution to the field of education.
Quality and indexing[edit]
Educación XX1 is a journal indexed in the main international journal rankings, such as Journal Citations Reports or Scopus-Scimago Journal & Country Rank. These tools include well-known metrics for journal evaluation processes, such as the Journal Impact Factor, Journal Citation Indicator, Eigenfactor, CiteScore, Scimago Journal Rank[2] and Source Normalized Impact per Paper , among others. At a national level, the journal also has an impact factor in the Dialnet index of journals of Dialnet Metrics[3]. Likewise, the journal has the FECYT Seal of Quality [4]
Peer Review Process[edit]
Educación XX1 evaluates all original work received through a peer review procedure.
All reviews follow a public evaluation criterion. Acceptance or rejection of each study will be based on a decision made in accordance with the establishments of these revisers.
The Editorial Team of Educación XX1 guarantees the adequacy of the external reviewers to the topic of the article being reviewed, as well as attending to possible conflicts of interest.
