Jason Chidozie Ukaegbu[1], better known by his stage name eff Raps., is a British rapper/producer/songwriter from London.
Career[edit]
Early life[edit]
eff was born in Southwark, South London and brought up in Deptford by his mother, Tina, his father, Ted, and his older sisters, Amanda and Judith, older brother, Dexter. Prior to a music career, eff originally aspired to be a footballer, having been on trial at Crystal Palace F.C. academy.
He attended Haberdashers' Aske's Knights Academy and the University of Westminster and holds a BA honours degree in Commercial Music.
Music Career[edit]
eff Raps. is of Nigerian descent, and started rapping from the age of eleven. In his early days, he was influenced by Grime music, but quickly realised his path lied away from the scene. His early life was influenced by artists such as Mitchell Brothers, Jay Z, Michael Jackson, as well as other noted Motown and R&B artists.
eff played his first official gig at Creamfields in Daresbury Cheshire, England in July 2008. In 2010, he then performed at the Youth Music Underage Festival in Victoria Park, London alongside King Krule, Rizzle Kicks and others.
