Eight Roads Ventures (previously known as Fidelity Ventures) is a global venture capital firm managing $8bn of assets across offices in the UK, China, India, Japan, and the US. Together with its associated funds, including its US sister fund F-Prime Capital], its 50-year history of investing includes partnerships with over 300 companies.

History[edit]

Eight Roads first started investing out of Boston in 1969,[2] operating as Fidelity Ventures and was the venture capital arm of Fidelity Investments, backing the teams behind early innovators such as MCI, Continental Cablevision and Atari.

Fidelity Ventures invested in emerging technology companies in North America and Europe. Their focus was on the go-to-market stage, where companies have products and early customer traction. Fidelity Ventures managed $1.5B in assets.[citation needed]

In 2009, the former U.S. team of Fidelity Ventures established Volition Capital in Boston, United States. The Fidelity Ventures office based in London renamed itself Fidelity Growth Partners Europe, then in 2015 once again renamed itself Eight Roads Ventures.[3]

In 2015, Fidelity Growth Partners rebranded to Eight Roads.[4]
